The biggest hospital in Gaza, Al-Shifa, is about to collapse due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The hospital's fuel supplies have run out, making it unable to operate.
In a last-ditch effort to save their lives, premature babies were being wrapped in foil and placed next to hot water, the hospital's director said to the media.

Over 100 UN staffers killed in Gaza
A UN aid agency said that at least 102 UN staff members have been killed in Gaza since the war began on 7th October.
"This is the highest number of United Nations aid workers killed in a conflict in the history of the United Nations," the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said.
At least 27 staff members have also been injured since the start of the war, the UN agency added.

Palestinian telecommunication minister said that the Gaza Strip is facing imminent communications and internet services outage by Thursday. The expected interruption is due to the depletion of fuel supplies.

About 200,000 Palestinians in Gaza have moved south since November 5: UN
The UN’s humanitarian affairs office, OCHA, says about 200,000 Palestinians have left northern Gaza for southern parts of the enclave since November 5 through an Israeli military “corridor”.
“Overcrowding and limited access to shelter, food and water, in the south, are of increasing concern,” the agency said.

Israel’s 2024 budget will be structured to focus on the war and then economic growth thereafter, a senior minister said.

Brazil's Lula says Israel response 'as grave' as Hamas attack
Brazil's president on Monday accused Israel of "killing innocent people without any criteria" in the Gaza Strip, deeming its actions there "as grave" as the October 7 attacks by Palestinian militant group Hamas.
"After the act of terrorism provoked by Hamas, the consequences, the solution of the state of Israel, is as grave as that of Hamas. They are killing innocent people without any criteria," said Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at an official ceremony in Brasilia.
The leader of Latin America's largest country also accused Israel of "dropping bombs where there are children, hospitals, on the pretext that a terrorist is there."

Israeli army confirms identity of soldier held hostage by Hamas
The Israeli army confirmed on Tuesday the identity of a soldier being held hostage by Hamas, after the armed wing of the Palestinian group published a video showing the young woman in captivity.
"Our hearts go out to the Marciano family, whose daughter, Noa, was brutally kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organisation," the army said in a statement released shortly after midnight.
It was the first time the army has officially confirmed a hostage's identity since Hamas gunmen abducted about 240 people when they stormed across the militarised border from Gaza on October 7.

Israel says that Hamas conceals its fighters in hospitals. The military showed off weapons it claimed to have found inside the children’s hospital on Monday. The footage also included rooms in the basement where the military believes the militants were holding some of the approximately 240 hostages they kidnapped during the initial attack.
“Hamas uses hospitals as an instrument of war,” said Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the army’s chief spokesperson, standing in a room of the Rantisi Children’s Hospital decorated with a colorful children’s drawing of a tree. Explosive vests, grenades and RPGs were displayed on the floor.
