A British content creator has revealed the three American foods that he thought would taste like ‘s**t’ but ended up being ‘amazing.’
Joshua Cauldwell, 29, from England, is known for his lively TikTok videos that see him taste-testing various classic foods from the US.
After trying many of America’s delicacies, the social media star – who boats over 4.3 million followers – shared the three foods that he thought would repulse him, but that he ended up falling in love with.
In a viral clip, which has so far amassed over 1.1 million views, Joshua shared the ‘best’ dishes America has to offer that make his mouth water.

‘Here are some American foods that look like absolute sh*t, but taste amazing,’ he said before noting that the meals would look ‘worse’ as the video progressed.
The first food that the 29-year-old noted didn’t look appetizing was a corn dog, which is a sausage on a stick that has been wrapped and fried in cornmeal batter.
He explained: ‘Let’s be honest, they do not look appetizing at all. You take one look at a corn dog, and you think, “No, thank you.”
‘But the minute you dip it in some mustard or ketchup and put it in your mouth… It tastes wonderful!’
Next up, Joshua spoke about what he thought the first time he saw gumbo.
Gumbo is a stew popular in Louisiana and made from combinations of seafood, various meats, and vegetables then served over rice.
Joshua noted that when he first laid eyes on the dish he thought someone had ‘scooped it out’ of a trash can.
He said: ‘When I first had it, I thought, “What is that?” I thought that the guy in the back had just scooped it out the bin. However, I put it in me mouth. It tasted divine.’

‘However, you try it, and it is the best American food. It is incredible! I love it!’

Over the summer, Joshua shared a video of him trying corn dogs for the first time.
In it, he was visibly confused by the corn dog but, after taking a bite, he couldn’t stop gushing about the sausage on a stick.
