Founded in 2018 by friends Carl Tomkinson and Olivia Watson, Helm London is a vegan brand selling handmade soy wax candles made from ethically sourced ingredients.
WHY SHOULD I BUY?
Most candles are made with paraffin wax derived from petroleum, which contains toxic chemicals such as toluene and benzene – these can cause respiratory problems and pollute the environment.
Helm London’s soy wax candles – made from oil extracted from the seed of the soy bean – are biodegradable, toxin-free and have a longer burn time than paraffin candles.
The scents are made with safe, industry-certificated ingredients and are paraben-free.

WHY SHOULDN’T I BUY?
Apart from the slightly higher price tag than mass-market candles, there isn’t a reason.
THE EXTRA MILE
The candles are made in small batches to avoid waste and each one is sent with a handwritten note to the customer. The glass jars are also reusable and recyclable.
