After Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar lambasted Congress for ignoring INDI Alliance for the sake of the upcoming five state elections, BJP took a dig at the Opposition unity bloc, calling it devoid of “mission or vision” and urged Rahul Gandhi to launch an ‘INDI Jodo Yatra’, shooting barbs at the Congress scion’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.

BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla Wednesday said, “This INDI Alliance is actually a ‘tukde tukde’ alliance. Rahul Gandhi should take out an INDI Jodo Yatra, and not Bharat Jodo Yatra.”

Poonawalla pointed at the inherent contradictions within the INDIA Bloc that have come to the fore much to the embarrassment of the Opposition.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar apologises after backlash for his controversial population control remarks

“SP vs Congress was going on in Madhya Pradesh, today Bihar CM Nitish Kumar attacked Congress, before that it was AAP vs Congress from Delhi to Punjab, in West Bengal it is Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury vs Mamata Banjeree, in Kerala Congress vs Left has been ongoing. It means that this alliance has no mission or vision. This alliance has just contradiction, confusion, corruption, ambition and frustration against each other. That is why they taunt each other…,” Poonawalla quipped.

The BJP lampooning came in the wake of statements by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar since Thursday he vented frustration with Congress for ignoring the alliance goals.

“We spoke with all the parties, urged them to unite and protect the country from those who are trying to alter its history. For this, meetings were held in Patna and elsewhere. INDIA Alliance was formed but nothing much is happening,” he said.

“There are Assembly elections in 5 states. Congress party is more interested in those. We were all working together to take forward the Congress party but they are not worried about all this right now. They are busy with the 5-state election right now. So, after the 5-state election, they will call everyone…,” Kumar said in Patna.
