“I don’t know if this is the best time to answer that. Maybe it is. If it is, I know I gave my best shot. If I walk into the sunset, I’ll know I walk away a proud man,” says Saurav Ghoshal in a chat with the broadcasters after collecting singles silver.
Did you know: Ghoshal has won a medal in each edition of the Asian Games since 2006.

Laylokhon defeats Mansi in a little over a minute, handing the Indian a 2-0 defeat to walk away with the 57kg bronze medal.
That’s it for India as far as wrestling’s concerned. The only event after this is the badminton men’s doubles quarter-final involving Satwik-Chirag.
Asian Games LIVE: India extended their tally at the 19th Asian Games with three gold medals as glory in archery continued. First, women’s compound archery team won a gold medal and then the men’s team joined in. In squash, Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu won their mixed doubles final to seal the yellow metal. Saurav Ghosal can add to India’s gold medal column when he competes in the men’s singles final in squash.
The day also witnessed exit for PV Sindhu in badminton while HS Prannoy came through a thrilling contest to assure the country of a medal.
On Wednesday, India’s tally went up by 12 medals to register a historic mark. As Deotale and Vennam bagged gold in the mixed team event, India recorded their best haul at any Asian Games ever. The count was taken up to 81 medals by the end of the day after the likes of Avinash Sable and Harmilan Bains won their second medals at these Games. Neeraj Chopra and Kishore Jena recorded a sensational one-two in javelin throw. And, the men’s and women’s 4x400m relay teams earned medals.
