If you’ve ever been on a staycation, only to return home and consider moving there, you are not alone.
New research by Zoopla suggests that 71 per cent of people who have been on holiday in Britain in the past three years have looked online for properties for sale in the same area.
And it says almost a tenth, at 9 per cent, have actually gone ahead and decided to move to that same location.

The top five locations for sticking with the staycation include desirable holiday hotspots such as Cornwall and Devon.
They also include Yorkshire and North Wales, along with a perhaps more surprising entry, London.
The research was carried out last month and surveyed a total of 2,009 British adults who have been on a UK holiday – commonly dubbed a staycation – during the past three years, and rent or own a home.
Dan Copley, of Zoopla, said: ‘Previously, a quick look at local house prices while away was just a bit of fun, more and more people are now following through and moving to places they have been on holiday.’

The average price of a property in the London borough of Wandsworth is £655,600, according to Zoopla.
