Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds was spotted watching an NFL game with superstar singer Taylor Swift this weekend – and some fans are convinced he is on a charm offensive to bring her to the Racecourse Ground.
The Hollywood actor and the Shake It Off hitmaker both watched the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the New York Jets in a box together, joined by Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively and his Deadpool 3 co-star Hugh Jackman.
The Chiefs ended up winning the game 23-20, with Swift appearing to enjoy herself as she smiled in the box alongside Reynolds – having come to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.
At one point she grabbed the actors arm as she laughed with him while holding a drink during the game, and fans hopeful their new friendship may mean that she could become the latest big name star on their way to Wales in the near future.
Reynolds had already teased that stars like Swift and Beyonce could appear at the Racecourse one day and fans were excited by the two being spotted together.

The Rob Ryan Red podcast pointed out the two were at the game together on Sunday, saying it was Reynolds’ ‘latest attempt to convince her to come to the Racecourse’.
Another replied saying they wanted to see her perform a show at the stadium.
‘I hope so. My daughter has been unable to get a ticket for the tour next year despite hours on end hanging online to buy. Would be brilliant to see her at the Racecourse with us Wrexham fans getting priority. Please…?’
One simply said: ‘Make it happen Ryan!’, while another made a reference to the singer’s hit song You Belong to Me, writing: ‘She wears high heels I wear Wrexham shirts.’
In May this year, Reynolds teased the possibility of a star like Swift or indeed Beyonce playing at the Racecourse, telling the Fearless in Devotion podcast that he and co-owner Rob McElhenney would love to see high profile performers grace their ground.
Reynolds has brought big-name stars to Wrexham in the past, including Jackman in August
Fellow actor Paul Rudd (R) was also among the guests to have visited the League Two side
‘We’re going to need some more seats Rob,’ Reynolds said. ‘They play the biggest of the big stadiums.
‘I would love to see any band, either ones I grew up listening to or ones I’ve found as an adult. What a venue the Racecourse is, I love that that’s happening now.
‘I love that The Kings of Leon are playing. That’s a huge act and here they are and we are so excited to host them for not one but two dates.’
Swift would not be the first big-name star that has joined him at the Racecourse ground in recent times.
Reynolds brought his close friend and fellow actor Jackman to Wrexham’s 5-3 home loss to MK Dons in August.
And in April he brought another actor – this time Ant Man star Paul Rudd – to watch their promotion-clinching victory over Boreham Wood.
Comedy actor Will Ferrell has also been seen in attendance with Reynolds at a Wrexham game.
