A mother-of-three was brought to tears after the kindness of a stranger meant she could afford her weekly shop.
Beth, who hails from Manchester, was teary-eyed on TikTok as she spoke about how she could not afford her weekly food shop for her family-of-four.
The young mother explained that she’d approached the checkout when she realised she would not have enough to pay the £41.65 bill for her family’s food.
The distressed mother was contemplating what items from her already small but necessary food shop she would have to put back, when the kind stranger came to her aid.
A visibly emotional Beth shared on TikTok how a good Samaritan came forward to pay for her shopping, telling her that just because she is struggling currently, does not mean she is a bad parent.
Beth Nelson (pictured) struggled to recant the story of how she was unable to pay for her family’s shopping. She told viewers she had to ‘run home to cry’
Positioning her camera to the few items she was able to get for just over £40, the mother-of-three sobbed: ‘I have literally had to run home to cry.’
Teary-eyed Beth told her TikTok following of around 18,800 that everyone in the checkout line began to stare at her, as she realised she was short of money for her shop.
In a video that now has over 140,000 views, the mother-of-three wept: ‘I got to the till and I didn’t even have enough. People were staring at me.’
The struggling mother began to weigh up what essential items her family would need more.
Fortunately for Ms Nelson, a shopper who reportedly had previously been in a similar position stepped up to help with the bill.
But when the kind stranger asked Ms Nelson for a conversation outside, the mother-of-three feared the worst.
She became anxious that the woman would tell her off when she set foot outside the supermarket, or worse, hurl abusive language and names at her.
But to the mother’s surprise, the charitable stranger wanted to offer some encouraging words.

She even handed Ms Nelson some money to help the family get through the remainder of the week.
Managing to catch her breath whilst also temporarily pausing her sobbing, Beth said: ‘The woman was really nice.’
The mother-of-three continued: ‘She gave me a massive hug and said that she had been in the same position before.’
Doing her utmost to hold back her tears, Ms Nelson added: She reminded me that just because I am struggling at the moment does not mean that I am a bad mum.’
The woman shared with Beth that there are parents who can empathise with her plight as they too have been in a similar situation.
Beth recounted how the kind stranger reminded her how many people had been in the exact same predicament as she had at the supermarket till.
People flooded the mother-of-three’s comment section sharing their own financially precarious experiences.
