It’s the quintessential British brand overflowing with tweed and tartan that is proud of its royal associations – even launching a special Platinum Jubilee collection last year.
Holland Cooper even counts the Princess of Wales, among its fans. And it would seem the links between the brand and the Kate go even deeper.
The founder is Jade Holland Cooper, a designer and entrepreneur who started out by leaving agricultural college to sell mini skirts at Badminton Horse Trials in 2008.
Brunette beauties Kate and Jade have both been spotted in the brand’s sweeping coats and luxury knits, with the glamorous pair bearing an uncanny likeness to each other.
And no sooner had autumn arrived than – right on cue – the Princess of Wales turned once again to Holland Cooper for this week’s visit to the Royal Navy Airbase in Yeovilton, Somerset, with a dark twill blazer.

Kate wore the brand’s £849 longline tartan coat while on a trip to Scotland, with Jade having modelled the Platinum Jubilee edition of the coat
The princess was a vision of sophistication when she wore a black double-breasted Holland Cooper blazer on a trip to Scotland to visit to her alma mater, the University of St Andrews, in 2021.
The brand founder shared a picture on her Instagram wearing the same item paired with a simple white blouse and sunglasses as she posed outside the Holland Cooper boutique.
Later in her trip, Kate chose the brand’s longline £849 tartan coat to host NHS Charities Together and NHS staff at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
Teamed with a pair of emerald suede Manolo Blahnik stiletto heels, the outfit not only spoke to local Scottish heritage, but referenced the brand’s proud domestic sourcing – with the wool being sourced from Scottish mills.

Kate chose another Holland Cooper tartan coat for her visit to Liverpool with Prince William – their first official engagement since the release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare. Jade was snapped wearing the coat with a matching scarf on her social media
Wearing her brunette locks in a sleek bun, Jade looked just as elegant as the princess as she modelled the Jubilee-themed Marlborough Trench, which she paired with the brand’s celebratory scarf and matching handbag.
Kate opted for another of the brand’s tartan coats during her visit to Liverpool with Prince William – the pair’s first official engagement after the release of Prince Harry’s explosive memoir Spare.
The couple made a powerful statement when they arrived in matching outfits, with the Prince of Wales wearing a navy blue suit and a dark green jumper.
Just one month before the outing, Jade shared a stylish snap on her social media wearing the same coat teamed with a matching green checked scarf and glitzy Holland Cooper boots.
Sharing the love for her brand on Instagram, she wrote in the caption: ‘I’m always so proud of my beautiful Holland Cooper clothing boutique, it’s everything I could have ever hoped it to be.
‘A true manifestation, in one place, of everything Holland Cooper.’
Appearing at Twickenham last year with her husband and their son, Prince George, Kate wore a houndstooth Holland Cooper jacket for her first rugby match since becoming patron of Rugby Football Union (RFU).
The princess later sported an England scarf over the top of her £449 Knightsbridge coat as she watched England face Wales in the Six Nations game.
Jade had also shared an image of herself wearing the coat just days earlier, wearing her long brunette hair in curls as she modelled the brand’s latest houndstooth designs with her mother.
In a cosy image, Kate wore a snug Fair Isle knit jumper by Holland Cooper for her CBeebies debut.
The princess paired the jumper with casual blue jeans as she sat on the ground under a red blanket to read The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson.
The £179 knit, featuring festive patterning and the brand’s signature gold buttons on the cuffs, sold out after the princess’ TV appearance.
Kate paid a similar resemblance to the jumper’s designer, who shared an adorable photo wearing the knit as she held her baby daughter, Saphaïa.

After starting up her business, Jade met her husband Julian Dunkerton, co-founder of Superdry, and lives with him in a £50 million house set in 250 acres in the Cotswolds.
She gave birth to her second baby, Jamie, at the end of last year and shared a gallery of images on social media, including a photograph of her husband kissing her head while she cradled the newborn.
Her stylish countryside designs, often with a statement HC logo and gold buttons, retail at high-end prices, designed to empower women and remain as a long-term wardrobe staple.
